Pipe Network

Pipe Network is a decentralized Content Delivery Network (CDN) that is building a community-powered alternative to centralized services like Cloudflare and AWS CloudFront. By leveraging a global network of node operators, Pipe delivers web content faster and more resiliently than traditional infrastructure.

The project taps into unused bandwidth and storage on consumer-grade hardware, creating a distributed web of edge nodes that serve content to end users with lower latency and higher redundancy. It is a core piece of the DePIN revolution, proving that everyday users can power the infrastructure of the internet.

Pipe Network's architecture is built on a "Proof of Delivery" mechanism that verifies and rewards nodes based on the actual content they serve to end users. This ensures that compensation is directly proportional to genuine contribution, preventing gaming of the system.

Node operators can participate with minimal hardware requirements, running the Pipe software on a standard desktop or a dedicated mini-PC. The protocol intelligently routes content requests to the nearest available node, minimizing latency and maximizing throughput.

The network is currently in its incentivized testnet phase, where operators earn "Pipe Points" based on their uptime, bandwidth served, and geographic coverage. These points are confirmed to convert to the native $PIPE token upon the mainnet launch.
